About me
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University with a BA in Graphic Design and a minor in Marketing Communication. I am highly passionate about design and anything art related.
I enjoy exploring and working in various areas of design, from packaging, production/publication work, illustration and branding. There is such variety in the style my designs can take; some of them strictly follow the rules, evenly arranged, while others playfully throw the rules out the window. They are unique and meant to be set apart from the design next to it. This expression and personality is something that I value in my work and I hope to represent this energy in my efforts, too.
I am a very color-driven and detail oriented designer and artist. My creative process tends to involve different mediums before digitalizing the designs in Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop. From ripping paper, painting, or doodling with crayons, I employ a variety of mediums to keep me inspired, and to create intriguing layouts, textures, and layers. Experimenting with techniques outside the digital realm throughout the design process allows me to explore the directions a piece can take, as well as allowing the design to express its full personality. I also plan and research quite a lot for my important projects, to ensure I have a clear trajectory for the direction my piece is going. These personal choices are one of my biggest inspirations that drive my work.
In all positions, I bring my detail oriented eye, conceptualization and my creative thought process. My eagerness to learn, flexibility in exploring designs, and my ability to collaborate or work independently are just a few qualities that help me be successful. My enthusiasm for other forms of artists expression, like photography, drawing, painting, books and art history are also things that I see as strengths.
