living on the edge poster

artist lecture at Mercer University

Brief:

Design a poster that will advertise the visiting artist lecture in the Plunkett Gallery at Mercer University. This was a group project where each member designed a piece of the promotion, like a pamphlet, poster, etc.

Approach:

Using the background image provided by the visiting artist, I placed it under a gradient overlay. I kept the layout straightforward, but played into the title Living on the Edge by dropping the ‘E’ down.

Result:

This poster was selected from a group of submissions and used to promote the lecture. It was hung around campus to encourage attendance.
